If you thought Tommy Lee would have issues with the upcoming Hulu series, Pam & Tommy, you thought wrong. While the series focuses on the ups and downs of the couple’s relationship, including their infamous sex tape, Lee told ET “it’s cool.”

Backstage at Sunday’s (September 12th) MTV Video Music Awards, Tommy said, “I think a lot of people would think it’s one thing, but it’s really about privacy and how things got crazy then. There’s different laws now.” Of course, he’s referring to a sex tape made on their honeymoon which was allegedly stolen from their house and released.

He continued, “The story’s actually cool. What actually happened wasn’t, but (actor Sebastian Stan) tells me it’s pretty wild. I feel like it was forever ago. But it’s a cool story and people need to know. It’s cool. I’m stoked.”

Pam & Tommy stars Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Universe films) as Lee and Lily James (Downton Abbey, Cinderella) as Pamela Anderson.

The couple tied the knot in Mexico in 1995 after knowing each other for just a few days. They have two sons together.

There is no word yet on when Pam & Tommy will premiere on Hulu.
