Flint’s Classic Rock – 103.9 The Fox

At Bush Hall on Tuesday night (August 13), Sex Pistols played the first of their three reunion shows benefiting the historic venue. The Pistols lineup features original members Steve Jones on guitar, Glen Matlock on bass, and Paul Cook on drums, with singer Frank Carter standing in for Johnny Rotten. Following the quick sell-outs of these three benefit shows in the small West London club, the revamped Pistols also scheduled a fourth London show set for September 26th at the O2 Forum Kentish Town to accommodate the high demand to see the reunited punk legends.

The Pistols and Carter tore through nearly the entire Never Mind the Bollocks album, the landmark punk album that changed the sound and look of music when it was first released in 1977. For “God Save the Queen,” Carter updated the lyrics to “God Save the King,” with Yungblud briefly joining in on that song. “I’m having the time of my f**king life here,” Carter said to the crowd of 400 lucky fans packed into the club.
