Roll over “Fab Four,” the “Red Rocker” is set to rock the rooftop in Las Vegas. Sammy Hagar & The Circle have announced a September 22nd rooftop concert on top of Las Vegas’ Strip at Beer Park at Paris. The 30-minute gig kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will run until the sun sets or happy hour wraps — whichever comes first.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported, “About 200 invited guests and contest winners will attend on the Beer Park deck (to register, to go RedRocker.com). Otherwise, the show will play to the pedestrian traffic across the Strip and also on the Paris marquee below the giant, lighted balloon.”
The former-Van Halen frontman told the paper: “I’m so looking forward to doing this crazy thing, which I’ve never done before. It’s inspired by the Beatles, who were one of the first ones to do it.”
Sammy Hagar has long professed that his concerts are there for the sole purpose of entertaining his fans — nothing more and nothing less: “We have a direction and a lifestyle and a way we want to live. It’s, y’know, beach by day and dancing all night, basically, y’know. To me it’s all about keeping my fans happy, giving them a little direction if I can find it for them and turning them on to anything I get turned onto, and that’s it.”
