Queens of the Stone Age have canceled multiple upcoming dates on their European tour so frontman Josh Homme can return to the United States to have emergency surgery. All of QOTSA’s July dates have been canceled due to Homme’s medical issues, which affects headlining shows and festival appearances in France, Slovakia, Germany, Czechia, Austria, Romania, Hungary, and Greece.
The band released the following statement on X: “QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery. Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.” Queens of the Stone Age’s next scheduled live performance is still set for August 8th at the Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden, in addition to a run of fall US dates with The Kills. All of those shows are still going on as planned as of now. (Consequence of Sound)
