Paul McCartney has just uploaded a new 11-song Spotify playlist on his official PaulMcCartney.com site — and has let the fans choose the songs for August. Every month McCartney posts a new tracklisting with a specific theme, and this time polled the die-hard Wings and solo era aficionados for their favorite tracks.

Among the deep cuts picked for this month’s playlist included the 1979 Back To The Egg R&B workout,” Arrow Through Me,” 1982’s Tug Of War look back at the pre-fame Beatles days with “Ballroom Dancing,” and “Macca’s” 1989 Flowers In The Dirt teamup with Pink Floyd‘s David Gilmour on “We Got Married.”

Upon the release of 1983’s Pipes Of Peace with the standout track “Average Person,” Paul McCartney explained that although world renown — he still felt average: “I think I’ve got a lot in common with the average person — but, I’m probably wrong. I mean, my mind definitely thinks I’m average — but I’m famous, so I can’t be average. Just the way I get up in the morning and look at myself and look at decisions during the day — I do still know about engine drivers, and waitresses, and people like that. I mean, a lot of people I know are still that. Just ’cause I’m me doesn’t mean all my friends are like me. Y’know, I still know the fella in the post office, and the people in the supermarket, and all of that.”
