Flint’s Classic Rock – 103.9 The Fox

During a live performance event on Thursday (September 5), Linkin Park announced they were reuniting. Their new lineup features singer Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara, and drummer Colin Brittain, who joins the group to replace Rob Bourdon, who chose not to be part of the reunion. Linkin Park also shared a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” the band’s first new music in seven years, which will be featured on their upcoming album, “From Zero,” due out on November 15. They also announced new tour dates for the updated lineup.

Armstrong received criticism for supporting Danny Masterson during his 2020 trial for sexual assault. “Hi, I’m Emily. I’m new to so many of you, and I wanted to clear the air about something that happened a while back,” Armstrong wrote in her Instagram Story. “Several years ago, I was asked to support someone I considered a friend at a court appearance, and went to one early hearing as an observer. Soon after, I realized I shouldn’t have. I always try to see the good in people, and I misjudged him. I have never spoken with him since. I do not condone abuse or violence against women, and I empathize with the victims of these crimes.” (Billboard)
