Neil Young has announced the first release in his upcoming official bootleg series, it’s titled: Carnegie Hall 1970.

Young performed two shows at Carnegie Hall, one in the evening, and another at midnight the next morning. The one he is releasing was made from the early show on December 4, 1970 and is the original analogue multitrack. One of the things that makes it special is… This was his first time performing at the New York venue.

In the last couple of years, Young has released a number of previously unearthed projects from his extensive vault, including 1975’s Homegrown and several live recordings.

Carnegie Hall 1970 will be available on October 1.
