Marilyn Manson has been removed from Best Rap Song Grammy nominations. According to The New York Times, the academy has withdrawn Manson’s Best Rap Song nomination for his contributions on “Jail, Pt.2” from Kanye West‘s ‘DONDA.’
It was pulled because Manson is a credited songwriter on “Jail, Pt. 2” but not on the version of “Jail” currently included on Donda.
In addition to the best rap song category, Manson received a second Donda nomination alongside a list of artists for album of the year as a featured artist and a songwriter. That nomination, according to the Grammys’ site, still stands.
