A newly discovered clip of the Rolling Stones on February 26th, 1973 performing in Sydney, Australia has been unearthed and uploaded online. The soundboard-synced rendition of Keith Richards leading the band through “Happy” was shot and recorded on the penultimate gig of the Stones’ 13-date “Pacific Tour 1973.”

The trek, which was not shot professionally by the band, took in stops in L.A. and Honolulu, before heading Down Under for the majority of the shows. A five-night run at Tokyo’s Budokan Arena was scrapped when Mick Jagger was denied a work visa due to his prior drug convictions.

Accompanying the Stones on the ’73 dates were keyboardists Ian Stewart and Nicky Hopkins along with trumpeter Jim Price and sax player Bobby Keys. Keith Richards recalled the formal addition of Price and Keys to the band’s live act in 1971: “I think we always wanted to be a bit of a soul band, as well. And horns — maybe as well — because it was Bobby and Jim Price, it was just the two cats. It wasn’t like a whole horn section, which can be a lot to take care of. With just the two guys, it fit into the size of the band real well. It just gave us that extra texture, y’know, that we’d been looking for. So, we basically were a bit of a soul band in a way at that time.”
