Two weeks ago, Jon Bon Jovi celebrated the opening of his new bar, JBJ’s Nashville, by getting his Bon Jovi bandmates together for a rare live performance in the club. Live music won’t be the only thing greeting customers at JBJ’s, as a permanent hologram of Jon Bon Jovi himself has been installed in the five-story entertainment venue. Jon’s virtual image was created by Proto Inc., who worked with the venue to install a hologram unit that beams-in a 4k version of the rock star. Later this year, an additional unit will be installed to include holograms of Jon’s Bon Jovi bandmates as well as other surprise celebrity guests.
“I’m thrilled to see Jon Bon Jovi integrating Proto Hologram technology into JBJs Nashville,” said David Nussbaum, founder of Proto Hologram. “Our technology transforms live performances into a ‘Runaway’ experience, allowing artists like Jon Bon Jovi to connect with their audiences in a way that’s never been possible before.” (Consequence of Sound)
