Flint’s Classic Rock – 103.9 The Fox

Chester Bennington‘s son Jaime has shared that some Linkin Park fans are angry with him after he voiced criticism of Emily Armstrong becoming the band’s new lead vocalist. Jaime expressed his concern in a series of Instagram stories where he details the “aggressive” and “cruel” treatment he was receiving from some Linkin Park fans after he slammed Armstrong’s ties to Scientology and her previous support of Danny Masterson, who was convicted of raping two women and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.

“There are a lot of people who do not like me. There are a lot of people saying some really awful sh*t right now to me,” Jamie shared. He plans on attending the Linkin Park reunion show in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 11), but is worried how he will be treated by the fans if they recognize him. “The audience themselves could be unsafe for me. … I do feel it’s necessary to acknowledge the severity of my situation, the ways in which people choose to interact with me,” Jamie said. “So many of these Linkin Park fans who will be attending have been cruel, unusual and aggressive.” (Variety)
