Bono‘s 21-year-old son Elijah Hewson is sitting on top the UK charts with his band Inhaler‘s debut album, It Won’t Always Be Like This. AceShowbiz.com reported the album debuted at Number One on Friday (July 16th), replacing pop star Olivia Rodrigo in the top position. The new chart placing marks the first time an Irish band has hit Number One since the the Script scored in 2008 with their self-titled debut.
In celebration of topping the Official UK Albums Chart, the band posted on social media: “We can’t believe our album has gone to Number 1. From starting off in small clubs in the UK to where we are today, never did we think during the making of this album that this would be possible for us four chancers. Thank you to everyone who bought or streamed our record. It means the absolute world to us.”
