Flint’s Classic Rock – 103.9 The Fox

Alice In Chains are marking the 15th anniversary of their 2009 comeback album, Black Gives Way to Blue, with a vinyl reissue of their long-out-of-print album. The 2-LP repressing of Black Gives Way to Blue is set to arrive on September 27th via Craft Recordings, pressed in a series of four different vinyl options. There will be a standard black vinyl edition, and three separate colorways: “Black Widow” red smoke (exclusively available through the Alice In Chains webstore), “Black Smoke” (via Craft Recordings), and “Electric Smoke” (available via Revolver).

“There was no master plan, despite what people think,” Alice In Chains’ guitarist Jerry Cantrell shared with Metal Hammer back in July regarding his band’s initial comeback. “This felt right, so we did the next thing, and then the next thing… It’s more than just making music and it always has been. We’ve been friends a long time. We’re not doing this to please anybody. It had to be OK from here [points to chest].” (Consequence of Sound)
