Flint’s Classic Rock – 103.9 The Fox

A new docuseries called Nöthin But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the ‘80s Hair Metal will be streaming on Paramount+ later this year. The show is based on a similarly titled book written by journalists Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock, who captured an oral history of that notorious time in music history from the artists who made it happen. Nöthin But a Good Time is directed by Jeff Tremaine, who also did Jackass and the Mötley Crüe biopic, The Dirt. The three-part series features interviews with Poison’s Bret Michaels, Ratt’s Stephen Pearcy, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Dave “Snake” Sabo of Skid Row, and MTV host Riki Rachtman.

“The series delivers a fresh and shockingly candid behind-the-scenes look at one of music’s most iconic eras,” reads the press release. “Each episode showcases the insanity and blazing ambition that has enthralled generations of music lovers and continues to influence culture to this day.” No specific release date has been revealed as of yet.
