The Black Dahlia Murder have shared their first new music following the tragic death of their singer, Trevor Strnad, in 2022. The song is fittingly called “Aftermath,” and it is the first track lifted from the band’s forthcoming new album, Servitude, which will be released on September 27. The band’s founding guitarist Brian Eschbach will now take over on lead vocals. The new lineup also includes guitarist Ryan Knight, who joined the Michigan death metal band in 2009 and was last featured on their 2015 album, Abysmal.
“We wanted that one to be heard first because it’s one of the faster songs on the album, if not the fastest,” Eschbach says of their new single. “We wanted that very aggressive Black Dahlia melodic death metal feel coming right at you. We just need to make great music and try to make people happy playing it.” (Loudwire)
