Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers will have cameos in the Spinal Tap sequel. Currently in production in New Orleans, Rob Reiner has returned to direct and write it. And stars and writers Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Fran Drescher are back in their original roles.
The first Spinal Tap came out in 1984 and the new one, which doesn’t have a release date yet, will include other cameos by Elton John, Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and Questlove.
