Although the book won’t be out officially until November 21, Metallica’s James Hetfield had a book signing in Detroit. A video posted online shows him sitting behind a table greeting and chatting with fans one-by-one, as they walk away with his autograph.
Messengers: The Guitars Of James Hetfield, is a 400-page book of photography. It shows off his personal collection of treasured guitars and tells the story and significance of each one of them.
In a story posted on Blabbermouth.net, Hetfield was quoted about his playing style. He said, “I’m kind of a little bit of a barbarian when I play. I’m always interested in the riff.”
He showed up in St. Louis earlier this month for a signing and is sure to do it again in the near future.
