Ozzy Osbourne recently earned four Grammy nominations for his Patient Number 9 album and he tells Billboard that it was totally unexpected. He was shocked when he was told about it.

After over 40 years of radio airplay, he commented on his continued success, and said, “I’m most proud that I’m 74 and I just had another hit record. Whatever I’m doing, I’m doing something right.”

Of the nominations, he’s most excited about the album category, which hit #1 on Billboard in September.

He also noted that the title track, “Patient Number 9,” is about himself. He said, “The last four years have been sheer hell for me. I’ve been in such a bad (place)… health wise.”

Despite his Parkinson’s diagnosis, he says it takes a lot to hold him down.
