All signs are pointing to a new live Who album coming later this year. Amazon.co.uk posted the pack shot and for The Who Live With Orchestra At Wembley Stadium, which is advertised with a November 4th release date. The double-disc set features sections from the band’s July 6th one-off London show, which featured Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joining the band for the Quadrophenia rocker, “The Punk And The Godfather.”

Strangely, the album closes with the acoustic Endless Wire number “Tea & Theatre,” which was not performed at the Wembley show and it’s unclear where the new live version was culled from. So far there’s been no official announcement for the set.

Pete Townshend told us that over 55 years on, it’s fascinating to realize that it’s the younger generations that are keeping the Who alive and thriving: “It’s so strange to have that brand that is bigger than either of us. That when we get together underneath that banner, we’re conferred with a magical sprinkling of, y’know, historical stardust that attracts an audience that is not just old fans — it’s curious young people; people who are interested in our legacy, and where we fit into the history of Western music — and Western sociology.”
