Rolling Stone reports that Metallica and Tool are among the bands using Covid-19 sniffing dogs to detect the virus in members of their crew, entourage, or anyone else allowed backstage.

The outlet reports that Metallica hired Bio Detection K9 for it’s fall shows in Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta as well as the band’s 40th anniversary celebration in San Francisco last month.

John Peets of Q Prime, the management company that represents Metallica says, “So far, knock on wood, the dogs have been knocking it out of the park. We haven’t had the dogs miss anybody.”
