Sammy Hagar is heading to Vegas. The “Red Rocker” — along with the Circle — is set for his “Sammy Hagar & Friends” residency at the 800-capacity open floor Strat Showroom. Along with Hagar and Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, the Circle is rounded out by guitarist Vic Johnson, and the great Jason Bonham, son of late-Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal posted, “The series kicks off October 29th to 30th and continuing on November 5th and 6th. Showtimes are 9 p.m. — doors at 8 p.m.” Tickets start at $100 (not including fees) and go onsale 10 a.m. local time today (Wednesday, June 30th) at tickets.thestrat.com/SammyHagar.

Hagar shed light on what fans can expect from the band, saying, “The Circle has the best set list in the world, and the Wabos play a lot more of my old, deeper tracks, and my old vintage catalog from the rocker area, from the ’70s, ’80s, it’s a mosh-up. We’ll start with six, seven Van Halen songs, a couple of Montrose tracks, Led Zeppelin songs, six Circle songs. We’ll mix it up pretty good.”

The shows, which are being modeled after Hagar’s legendary annual birthday romps Cabo San Lucas, will also include appearances by such friends as Motley Crue‘s Vince Neil, Toby Keith, Rick Springfield, Kenny Chesney, and Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains.

Sammy Hagar admitted to us that although he fell in love with singing at an early age — he’s pretty much the definition of a reluctant performer: “I just liked it. It felt good and it felt natural. It’s still not comfortable to me — I’m not a comfortable singer/entertainer; even though I’m more of an entertainer, y’know, when I get on stage, I turn into an entertainer. But it’s very uncomfortable for me. And I’m always runnin’ around backstage, a nervous wreck until I get out there. But, other than that — I like it.”

Sammy Hagar & The Circle will perform on CNN’s The Fourth In America July 4th special. The program, which airs from 7 p.m. ET to 2 a.m. ET., will also feature performances by Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, the Beach Boys, Chicago, the BanglesSusanna Hoffs, Blues Traveler, and Kool & The Gang, among others.
