Paul Stanley appeared on CBS’s The Talk and explained that apart from the incredible story of a New York City rock band defying all the odds — Kiss is really the tale of him and Gene Simmons dedicating themselves to their craft.

A&E’s Biography will air its two-part Kiss documentary, KISStory, on June 27th and 28th. The episodes will chronicle Kiss’s 50 year-history from its pre-fame Wicked Lester days up through the present.

Paul Stanley spoke candidly about the ups and downs of Kiss’ career and told The Talk, in many ways, Kiss is a tale of loyalty, friendship, and faith: “I think this documentary really humanizes us — particularly Gene and I; because, y’know, the story of Kiss really is the story of a friendship. We met when we were living at home. We were young people, we were young teenagers with this great ambition, and this is really our story. We were there in the beginning and we’re there to wrap it up, We’ll go out on the ‘Farewell Tour’ that we’ve been on prior to the pandemic and we’re doing it bigger than ever, so, it’s a great bookend.”

Kiss resumes its massive “End Of The Road” farewell tour on August 18th in Mansfield, Massachusetts at Xfinity Center.
