Though not released as a formal single, “She’s Waiting” was one of the most popular tracks from Eric Clapton‘s Behind The Sun album.
It was one of the three songs Clapton performed at the Live Aid concert in Philadelphia in 1985.
Phil Collins — who was in the midst of a successful solo career and was still part of Genesis — drew considerable attention to Behind The Sun by producing it.
Collins performed at the London portion of the Live Aid concert, then flew the Concorde to Philadelphia to perform with Clapton and the reunited Led Zeppelin.
Collins toured as the drummer in Clapton’s band in 1987.
The Behind The Sun album peaked at Number 34 on the Billboard 200 and at Number Eight in the U.K.
It earned a gold record in the U.S. for selling more than 500,000 copies.
