Now that we have a few inches of snow on the ground I am going to say its winter, or at least winter like outside. I have a few tips and/or reminders for you.
- Michigan is one of 12 states where it is illegal to NOT remove snow from the roof of your car. Not only can you get a ticket for this but if you have someone behind you they are getting a smokescreen like effect when they are driving from all the snow coming off your car and they are just waiting for the big chunk of ice or snow to come hurling at them from your vehicle.
- You only need to warm up your car for about 30 seconds. With that said I am talking about the motor. If your car has a carburetor then yes, you need to warm up your car. But I am guessing most of us are driving cars that are newer then the mid 80’s in this weather so we have fuel injection, welcome to the future my friends.
- Take it easy when shoveling snow. I always see people having heart attacks from doing this on the news. Your blood pressure goes up, heart rate goes up and mixed with the cold weather you are looking at a “perfect storm”.
